Navigate :
You can move the map (a) with the embedded anavigation on the left side of the map, or (b) by drawing the map with your mouse, or (c) by using the arrow keys of your keyboard. You can filter the results shown in the map by marking or unmarking the categories in the thick boxes above the map. By default, all categories are shown. Look up a profile by clicking on the small flag. This will open a popup window with the short profile. If a long profile is available you can access it by clicking on the respective tab. Note, that long profiles are language specific and might not be available for all profiles and languages.Providing profiles :
In principle a profile can be set up by every user. The information provided will be checked by a moderator after the submission to ascertain that the SustainergyNet map is used for the purpose it was created for: Improving the visibility of local stakeholders working on renewable energy and sustainable energy development, stimulating stakeholder interaction and facilitating their networking locally and globally.
Step by step :
1) Check whether the profile already exists
Before you create a new profile, please check in the map whether a profile of the very same stakeholder has already been set up by another user. If there is already a related stakeholder profile you can access and open the profile in the map and eventually add or change information by clicking on the “edit this profile” link on the bottom of the profile.
2) Edit an existing profile:
The “edit this profile” link on the bottom of the profile popup will direct you to the same form used to “create a new profile”, with all previously provided information already entered. You can then edit or amend the profile and validate and submit your changes.
Note: Changes will only be visible in the map after being accepted by a moderator.
Note: The “edit this profile” link is unavailable if the profile has been protected against changes by the respective stakeholder.
3) Create a new profile:
To create a new profile, select the “create a new profile” page from the submenu of the “interactive map” page. Please note, that most of the fields of the short profile are mandatory. In return, “long profiles” are voluntary and can be set up in English, French, or both languages.
4) Set the geo-localisation flag:
To make sure that the geo-localisation flag of your profile is shown on the right place in the map, you need to place it in the geo-localisation map at the right physical location by clicking into the map. Please use the zoom function of the map to move the mark as precisely as possible to the right physical location. If you have access to GPS information of the longitude and latitude of the stakeholder location, you can cross check or enter these values.
5) To validate and submit the Form
After providing at least all mandatory profile information you need to type the letters of a captcha image and validate the form. In case the entered information is valid you can submit the profile.
6) Moderation
After submission, the profile will carefully be checked by a moderator and in case of acceptance made visible and accessible in the map. Moderation can take some days and you will be informed by an e-mail (to the address you provided) when the profile is activated.

Within the forms to “create a profile” and “propose an event” you can protect your profile and event announcement with a password from any changes by other users.
Password protection of the stakeholder and event profiles will only be granted to users that provide justification, that they represent the stakeholder or belong to the organizers of an event. Once the password protection of a profile has been set, the “edit / update this profile” link on the bottom of the profile popup will be unavailable. To perform changes to your profile, you then need to login with your username and password.
Note: We preserve the right to reject a user’s request to password protect a profile without any reasoning.

To report a profile, you can click on the “report this profile” link on the bottom of the profile popup. The link will allow you to give reasons why you want the profile to be changed, disabled or deleted in a text field (max. 500 characters). Submitting this form generates a moderator notification. Entering the letters of a captcha image is required to submit the form.

Reported profiles will be checked by a moderator. Decisions will be case specific and take into consideration the reasoning for reporting the profile.

To submit a comment, entering the letters of a captcha image is mandatory. Activation of the comments by a moderated is required. The latest comments are shown in the column on the left side of the articles as well as in the respective forum topic.
The main purpose of the forum is to share practical experiences and know how related to the topics addressed by the articles.

Participating and contributing to the Forum requires registration with a freely set username and password and a valid e-mail address.

2) Contributing posts and threads
As registered activated and logged in user, you can contribute posts and threads. To set a new thread, choose one of the forum topics and fill the "Create a Thread" form by providing a titel and text. To reply to existing threads select the thread an provide title and text of your reply.

3) Following a Thread
